A celebrated and influential DJ, 2011 saw Scuba voted #25 in Resident Advisor's poll of the world's Topp 100 DJs. His 'Adrenalin' EP, picked up radio play across BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6Music, XFM and Kiss FM, and his addition to !K7's DJ Kicks series made notable appearances on several Best-of-2011 lists, including #4 in DJ Mag's Best Compilations of the Year. With his new album 'Personality' due for release on 27th February and plans for a live show in the works, Scuba drops 'The Hope': fizzing with claustrophobic bass pressure and a menacing narrative, the track sent Twitter into meltdown after being previewed in a mix he delivered for XFM on New Year's Eve. The album is due via Hotflush, a label curated by Scuba himslef, which, having released some of the most important tracks of the formative period of dubstep (from the likes of Benga, Distance, Martyn and Joy Orbison), has grown into a leading player in the wider wolrd of electronic music today.
